Regrets

The biggest mistake for me was that I did not save money for my future and I did not spend my money wisely. Yes it is true that it’s easy to earn money in Taiwan, but we must save for the rainy days. I really thought that I can go back right away there but I was wrong for I failed in my medical examination. I was about to proceed with my trip only the medical is lacking because they found out that I had thyroid problem and needed a medical surgery. Oh my, it was just like the whole world falling upon me for I spent lots of money for processing of my papers including the airplane fare from Cebu to Manila. I really wasted money, effort and time.

Shopping time

Globally, we experience economic crisis so every time we go to a mall even just for window shopping, we have to save money first, for we might just have to buy some things we want.

Actually it is not my first time being away from home. My first experience was the time I worked in Taiwan as factory worker on a two years contract. This little girl is so cute and too smart, just imagine her at 8 months she can do many possible things. And she can stand alone and climb even without guidance or support. Complaining about a kababayan

Just this morning I chatted with my cousin from Canada about lots of topics. One topic that caught my attention was that she was complaining about a kababayan or a Filipino co-worker there whom she found out something that is not good. She finds ways or just makes excuses not to join them so most of them think that my cousin was a snob, but she doesn’t care.

One thing she told me was that maybe most of the nannies think every Filipina who are there must be nannies too. So, I just told her maybe she’s just too pressured at work and she need to relax sometimes - go out and enjoy watching movies or shopping.

So the party was stop for a whil, just to take some picture of him, everybody is har their own pose with him.

A trip to Australia

I have a cousin who visits Malaysia constantly together with her family. Every time they visit there, she asks favor from me to watch her house while she and her family enjoy their trip by going to shopping malls, museums, watching the beautiful sceneries Aside from looking taking in charge of the house while they are away, I looked after the children too. For her, going to Malaysia from the Philippines is just like going to a nearby city.

And now she changed route to Australia coz her Malaysian husband has a business transaction there at the same time to enjoy their second honeymoon. She was looking for hotels where they can stay in Australia. The winner takes it all

The most awaited boxing rematch of De La Hoya and Mayweather is coming soon!  It is a good fight that everybody loves to watch out. I am sure my cousin and her husband based in the US are waiting for this fight for they love sports especially boxing. Avid fans of De La Hoya and Mayeather Jr. are also excited to see their bets play against each other again and find out who will win this time. Crowds will gather in the venue again.  Will it be in Vegas? Will it break pay-per-view records like last time? You better buy Mayweather/De La Hoya tickets now.  But for those who can’t see it in person, they’ll just stay at home waiting for the fight.  Nobody wants to miss a round.

Player of the year

Congratulations Seann! She is the daughter of my cousin living Washington. What a very proud mother and father she has, really. At the same we her relatives are very proud to know that she is chosen as the player of the year in soccer team. Actually, since she was a child she loves sport just like her dad. Her mom is a nurse of one of the hospital there.

An international phone call

I finally made the effort to copy some of my email address book from my cousin in Canada. We can get a hold of each other via e-mail faster. But she told me not send any forwarded messages on her work email coz they monitor what comes in.

Anyway she planned to make a long distance call and we set the date and time. We talked over the phone exchanging hi’s and hello’s, reminiscing the past until we didn’t notice the time.  We talked for one hour and I know it is too expensive. I told her that it was time to stop now for our ears were like on fire!   Oh my, am sure she works very hard just to pay the phone bills. And what a blessing in disguise upon surfing the net I found a cheap alternative for long distance callers liker her and for those who have relatives and friends outside the country.

Postman

I woke up early today, took a bath, then washed my dirty clothes. My friend and I stay decided to stay at home in the morning for it’s still raining and need to work coz we have lots of things to do. At 1:00 p.m. AC (my friend) decided to take a nap for she’s too sleepy. Suddenly a post man was outside the house calling our attention for the package has arrived. At last the package (the content is the invitation letter for her) is here!  She’s invited by her sister to Europe and will stay there for three months. Her parents already went ahead.  That’s the reason why I’m here in Talisay to visit them for we don’t see each other for 7 years. Our ways of communicating is internet.

We need to work double time today for she had something to do at the same time preparing for her trip to Manila to give the letter to the embassy. Wish her all the best, I know God is with her, at the same time lots of prayer petitions offered for her trip through her co-sister and brothers at the church.

Internet is very useful

At first, I really thought that everything here in the net is nasty, gives nothing to do at all for the young ones, and a waste of money without doing any good for the children. Until one time I tried to learn about computers even if I had no idea at all and I was just curious about it. There is no denying the fact that internet is in, for everybody. My negative thinking about the internet was a very big mistake then. The internet is too useful, if you don’t know about computers you are lacking something in this world. For example, just like having relatives from other countries, it is very easy for you to communicate with each other.

Before, it is hard to be in touch, we are just sending letters and it takes time before you received them. Whereas today you just e-mail it to them and in just a minute or few seconds they receive your letters. I’m glad to have this blog where I can express my feelings. I can also look for many opportunities in the internet with this blog. Oh that’s the good thing of being hi-tech and lately I found out about this Bloggerwave which provides big opportunity especially to the jobless people to make money. So why not try this?

Rainy days at Talisay City

It was raining the whole day last Thursday, so the family stayed at home for it’s nice to sleep with weather like this. It makes me remember when I am at home in Cebu. By the way, I am still here in Talisay at my friend’s home.  It’s my 1st week in here now. Wow, it is just like yesterday when I arrived, I’m really enjoying my stay here. The weather is so nice especially today.  I love to do something at my friend’s house just like playing with the cutie baby Caite, I’m sure if you see her in person you’ll really like this baby for she is too smart and jolly. The place is near the seashore; from way up here I can see the sea waves blown by the wind, the raindrops in the sea and the boats passing by. I can really feel the fresh air not like Cebu which is too polluted due to factories, cars, buses and it’s too crowded really.
