My Dad’s Custom

September 3, 2010

When I was young I remember my father smoking one of his cigars whenever there was a celebration. He would get his cigar case which he would hide from a secret place. I once asked him why he would do so, he just answered in reply that smoking his cigar was part of their family’s custom, which has been passed on to from generation to generation and for him smoking cigar during occassions is like “having cake on birthdays.” He’s used to it. Is what he usually says.

Well, that’s one thing I remember about him. He’s been always been a great father and a good friend to me. Always being there whenever you need him. Though he’s a man of few words but his thoughts are expressed through his action. That’s my “Dad.”
